Scope of work
After KK Superyachts closed the sale of Dancing Hare (ex. Lady Mona K) in 2017, they requested a substantial refit so their client could enjoy their redesigned superyacht in time for the upcoming summer season.
The 57.70m Dancing Hare was built in 1986 to a design by Bannenburg & Rowell Design and had only ever undertaken maintenance work. She was due for some serious upgrades. We extended and restructured the bridge deck, fitting a new dining table and lounge area, and installed large sliding glass doors to provide a sheltered setting. The main deck was also reorganised, with new stainless steel bulkheads, to create a more open and social layout.
The interiors were completely refreshed and Dancing Hare was relaunched after a 10-month appointment with a modern and sophisticated interior design, crafted in unison with the Owner’s stylists. Other works included a complete overhaul of the two main engines, a new bridge console installed, the teak decks restored, additional windows added, zero-speed stabilisers fitted and the deckhead cranes upgraded. As with any refit, the Owner of Dancing Hare benefited from our efficiency and substantial savings, compared to new build costs and lead times.
