Emerald was a comprehensive 16-month refit. We revitalised the ‘hard-edged’ exterior lines of the classic 1990s Feadship while infusing a modern twist. Key highlights of the refit include a stern extension and a complete interior redesign.

Balk Shipyard supported the Owner in their search for a classic Feadship that would serve as the base to rebuild their dream vessel. Our team personally inspected the 48.83-metre MQ2 in Croatia with the Owner’s team and TWW Yachts. We then organised the transportation of MQ2 to Balk Shipyard for a refit.
During the 16-month refit, Emerald received a stern extension, bringing her length to 50.40 metres, providing space for a new aft cockpit, an extended sundeck and an additional stairway to improve flow. The sundeck was completely refabricated and now features a large Jacuzzi forward, a cosy seating area and a wet bar.
Design Unlimited completely remapped her and we turned Emerald into the perfect charter yacht for modern guests. She is orientated for a family, with a unique layout with a two master suite on the main deck. We also installed new windows and expanded all communal areas and corridors to give more space and ensure she’s filled with natural light.
Emerald’s mast and superstructure archway were also redesigned to suit her modernised look. She now has brand-new navigation, AV/IT and communication systems and two zero-speed Quantum extendable stabilisation fins. She left repainted in Orion green.
