REBUILD FOR MOTOR YACHT SANDALPHON

Sandalphon had to be stripped back to the bare hull and extended before being rebuilt. She left Balk Shipyard a true explorer ready for global cruising.

Scope of work

The 27m explorer yacht Sandalphon began life in Brazil and was partially constructed before being shipped to our facilities in the Netherlands. We stripped her back to the bare hull and rebuilt the yacht from scratch.

After an examination by Azure Naval Architects, we decided to extend Sandalphon by several metres to improve livable space and overall balance. A cut was made across the foredeck which was then extended by three metres.

Her swim platform was also lengthened by one metre. She was redelivered with a length overall (LOA) of 31m.

Sandalphon is a yacht to spend great lengths of time onboard. She’s built to explore and her interior design reflects this: modern comforts, plenty of social space and a top deck with a bar, lounge and panoramic views of the world this Owner and guests are exploring.

“Sandalphon has turned into an elegant explorer,” her Owner stated, following the rebuild.
